A baby project of an eBay power seller, JewelryRoom.com positions itself as a liquidation service for high-end jewelry, featuring no-reserve auctions. However, a deeper look reveals that most of the jewelry offered is made of either sterling silver or 10K gold, with few items being close to “high-end” category. While the site claims the items to come from bankruptcy and factory liquidations, JewelryRoom.com also advertises itself as a jewelry manufacturer. The lot selection is way lesser than Bidz.com or eBay.com have to offer, with closing prices ending up being equa l, or slightly higher. The site features user-friendly interface, free signup, and access to historical auction prices.

"I thought I was purchasing geniune items from this company. Turns out the "Ruby Pendant" wasn't a real ruby stone and the other items were absolutely worthless. I was so excited until I received the items and had it appraise. What made the experience worse was learning how hard it is to get a refund from these people. Never again."
