Plasticjungle.com Reviews –
Is Plastic Jungle a Scam?

The
Plasticjungle.com reviews show that this is an innovative website where you can purchase, sell, trade or
donate retail gift cards. It is free to join and shipping is always
free! This seems like a great concept. I surfed around a bit to see if it was an option. It seems like it would be a great idea, to be able to give a gift card to a
store that I normally could not afford to shop at for a greatly reduced price. That is when the confusion set in.

There
were tons of cards on this site, but the value on the cards was a bit weird. For example there were quite a few
cards that had $86.34 listed as the value of the card, this was an odd value for a gift card, and it kind of
rules it out as a gift, most people realize that gift cards come in specific rounded denominations like $25.00,
$50.00 and $100.00 not $219.70. I tried to figure out how these amounts came to be, but there was nothing on the
site that addressed this question, as a matter of fact I could not find a frequently asked question page at all.
The
contact us page did provide a toll free number, physical address and an email option, so that was satisfactory,
because I always like to have a phone number. They guarantee that you will receive the gift card that you
purchased and it will be for the value that you purchased it for, but it is not quite that
simple. If you do not receive your card within 2 weeks of
purchase and you used paypal for the transaction than you have to file a dispute through paypal before you
contact them. If you receive the card and it is not for the value that you purchased it for, than you only
have 7 days to contact them and let them know, you have to mail the card back with the shipping label that
they send you. There is also a claim form that according to the site you must “fill out properly”. It seems
to me to be a lot to go through!
I
found one review that was positive and it was from someone that sold an unwanted gift card, they actually earned
a dollar on their sale so they were pretty happy with the site. On
reselleratings.com the following comment was left “Worked as advertised. Two reasons this store didn't earn five
stars: (1) Customer service is non-existent. If you call the telephone number on the Web site (assuming you can
actually find it), it goes directly to voicemail. I called five times, and all five times, I got voicemail, no
matter what time of day it was. (2) Took three or four days to process the card AFTER they received it.”
I
could not find any ratings from anyone that actually purchased a gift card from this site.
