Realtytrac Review – Is Realtytrac.com a
Scam?
The Realtytrac
review shows that this is another website that is devoted to foreclosed properties listings, education
and is a great resources for general real estate information. There are several things that we liked better
about this site compared to all the other foreclosure listing site.

The first thing that probably
stands out when you use Realtytrac is the number of listings they have. At the time that we joined, there were
about 1.3 million foreclosures available. We only invest in a couple of areas and searching through Realtytrac
is easy to pinpoint your exact location. Another plus is you can also research market trends with the "Trends" option that is offered
through Realtytrac. While we know our area very well and know what the market is doing at all times, sometimes
we invest outside of our area and this is where this feature really comes in handy.
We have arranged for our visitors
to try out Realtytrac for free by using the option below. Just click on the state that you are interested in
finding foreclosures in to get started.
We mainly deal with foreclosed
property that the bank has already taken back, but Realtytrac also offers leads to pre-foreclosures and FSBO's
as well. These can be a real goldmine due to the fact that investors are able to buy properties prior the all
the fees associated with a complete foreclosure. The savings can be in the 1000's of dollars.
For those who are not familiar with
dealing in foreclosures, Realtytrac has some good resources to help you get started in their education
section.
Before you decide to join any
foreclosure data service, you need to make sure they are a viable company and not a scam. We first decided to
sign up for Realtytrac because we knew they had a good track record and were the foreclosure data provider for
Yahoo Real Estate and the Wall Street Journal. It also helped that they offer a 7 day free trail. You can click
the link below to check out the details yourself.
Keep in mind that if you decide to continue the service after the free trail
period, the subscription price is around $49 a month. When we joined, we signed up for the free trial to test
the service out, knowing that we could cancel at any time before the 7 days was up and we wouldn't be billed.
However, after using the service, I don't know how we managed without it. Even at $49 a month, our first deal
payed for it times 100.
The only complaint we have about Realtytrac is that some of the listings we
find had already been sold. Not really a big deal considering all the listings they have though. We consider
it a must have for any real estate investor, and it's not a bad idea if your just someone looking to buy a
home. You can use the free search option above to see what all the fuss is about.
